MURDER ABOARD THE CHOCTAW GAMBLER is my newest book coming in May, 2008. Like its prequel, THE RIBBON MURDERS, it features the observant, untidy newspaper reporter Jancy Dewhurst and her counterpart, the less observant, fastidious cop, Jim Wills. The unlikely pair solves fairly standard homicides committed by unusual villains, with particularly odd motivations.
The books are the sixth and seventh of my published novels. Some are a little steamy. They are mostly categorized as "romantic suspense." I prefer to think they are what Dorothy Sayers termed "Love stories with detective interruptions."
I write books I like to read. I have what some consider an unusual sense of humor and it shows in my work.
There is a third book in this series. CANDLESTICKS has approval from friend readers and some editors, alike, however, it is not yet under contract.
